Kim Kardashian says Psalm’s name was her second choice. Guess what was first?
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West welcomed their fourth child just over 5 months ago. Their baby boy, Psalm arrived via a surrogate, and Kim says she’s officially finished with having babies now.
Yay for Ye?
On this week’s episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim also revealed that she was initially very keen on another name.
“His name was going to [be] Ye, but Kanye didn’t like Ye because Ye doesn’t mean anything,” Kim told her family.
“We looked up every name in the bible that had Ye in the beginning, and the only name was Yehezkel, and Kylie called at the last second and was like, ‘No!’ “
For those playing at home, let’s just confirm that Ye is Kanye’s nickname and Kylie is Kim’s younger sister.
During the Keeping Up segment Kim reasoned that Psalm and Saint sound good together, noting that her kids now call the little boy Psalm-ye.
The couple were already parents to almost 2-year-old Chicago, 3-year-old Saint and 6-year-old North West, so while Psalm’s name raised eyebrows it was not really a surprise.
Psalm’s turnaround
Kim also revealed that her surrogate was “so amazing,” and had “the easiest delivery” – meaning “she pushed literally maybe one time.”
The baby was breech the day before she gave birth, but luckily he wiggled himself into an easier position and it was all systems go with no complications – and a few very excited spectators.
“Kourtney and Kanye were in the room with me. We were just staring at him and holding him,” Kim recalls.
“I feel so complete. I really do feel like four is the perfect number for me. I feel so full in the best way … but I’m done.”
Kris Jenner – Kim’s mum – was not present at this birth. Traditionally she does attend – sometimes even delivering her daughters’ babies – but she was unwell this time and had to wait until Kim brought her TENTH grandchild home.
When Psalm was placed in her arms, the tiny boy – who cousin Penelope declared looked “like a model” – gave his grandma aka Lovey a giant smile. Bless.
