Baby Shark black market

The toys are proving super popular and if fact they appear to have sold out. As is often the way with toy crazes there’s now feverish reselling going on and a sort of Baby Shark black market has sprung up.

“Those looking to buy now are finding the toys are all sold out and people are now reselling them for way more than what they paid for them,” media outlet WAFB reports. “Like four times more. The sharks can now be bought for $69.99 … and $39.99 for the cubes.” Gazooks!

Reviews of this product are very, very mixed. While some say it’s exactly what their toddler always wanted, lots of parents commented that the sharks are not very squishy, that the song doesn’t play right through, that the battery is not replaceable and that the volume on the music is very low. One person said their shark arrived singing in Korean, so there’s that too. #BuyerBewareDoodoodoodoodoodoo
