Relatable! Chrissy Teigen sums up the struggle of Instagramming two babies
If you’ve ever tried to capture an Instaperfect photo of yourself with your child, you’ll know that the struggle is real. Take things to the next level – with two or more kids in the frame – and it can feel like Mission Impossible.
Two handfuls of cute
Chrissy Teigen is embodying this tricky effort in her latest Instagram upload, as she juggles new baby Miles and two-year-old daughter Luna, an off-the-shoulder frock and some pretty bracing direct sunlight. She emerges with flying colours, of course, but summed up the struggle – and potential troll responses – in her caption.
“Should I post the one where his head looks unsupported but my face looks good and Luna is over it, the one where his head is supported but my face is just okay and Luna is over it, or him crying and my face looks okay and luna is over it?” she wrote.
While it’s well known that Chrissy loves the reach and chattiness of social media, like most of us she could do without the trolls. She’s been targeted over and over by haters who critique everything from what she’s wearing to how she’s parenting. It’s not surprising she’s continually preempting their possible nasty responses.

“The strugggleeeeee!”
In a much nicer show of kindness, Chrissy’s fans were keen to support her and sing her praises. No mummy shaming there:
“The more kids you add to the brood, the less likely you’ll all look good in a pic!” one mum agreed.
“Looks like you posted the one of you being a great mum and it sounds like the other photos represent that as well. Way to go!!! Motherhood. No one says it’s easy but it sure is beautiful,” another philosophised.
“You always look like a strong, beautiful, real, direct, awesome, woman, even on the real days,” someone else commented. “Please keep motivating everyone. Your family is beautiful!”
“The struggleeeee ? #momlife” another follower briefly, yet accurately, summed up.
The family that snacks and rallies together
Chrissy’s mum-of-two struggle was apparently photographed at Nobu in Malibu. It’s beachy and delicious vibes a stark contrast to the Lip Sync Battle star’s weekend activities. Chrissy and husband John Legend appeared at a rally for #FamiliesBelongTogether on Saturday protesting the US government’s child separation policies. Chrissy gave a speech with Miles strapped into his baby carrier and John Legend sang for the assembled crowd.
It’s not the first time the family have walked the walk when it comes to the rights of asylum seekers. Very recently, they held a fundraiser for the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) to help protect the rights of asylum seekers and their children, and other vulnerable groups. Chrissy, John, Miles and Luna each pitched in $72 000 – and with the help of their social media followers, they raised over $1 million US in 48 hours.
Not much to hate on there, eh?
