As royal wedding excitement reaches fever pitch, Kensington Palace have announced who the youngest and most knicker-bockered participants will be.

Peak excitement is imminent!

You’ll be delighted to know that Prince George and Princess Charlotte made the list of six bridesmaids and four page boys, and will lead the procession of adorableness down the aisle. George and Charlotte are reaching pro level at these sorts of things, famously acting as page boy and flower girl at aunt Pippa Middleton’s wedding to James Matthews last year.

Thank you so much for all of the wonderful comments following the release of Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle's engagement photographs. The couple are so grateful for the warm and generous messages they have received during such a happy time in their lives. As a way to say thank you, they have decided to share this candid photograph from the day of their portrait sittings directly with all of you.

The wedding takes place on Saturday night, Australian time, and after a very dramatic week which saw Meghan Markle’s ailing father run the gamut of emotions very publicly, the palace seems to be focusing firmly on protocol and happier news.

“Prince Harry and Ms Meghan Markle have chosen the following Bridesmaids and Page Boys for their wedding on Saturday 19th May,” Kensington Palace tweeted.

“Details about the Bridesmaids’ dresses and the Page Boys’ uniforms will be made available on the wedding day,” the royal family confirmed via their official website.

Besties’ kids, godchildren, nephews and nieces

Prince Harry and Duchess-to-be Meghan’s ten teeny helpers include nephews, nieces, godchildren and the offspring of dear friends.

The oldest children of the group are aged just 7 and the youngest is 2, guaranteeing hearts will be well and truly warmed as they fancy up and bumble down the aisle, watched by millions.

Meghan’s best friend Jessica Mulroney’s children – Ivy, and twins Brian and John – are among the cute cast of little attendants.

While Meghan won’t have a maid of honour, Prince William will act as Harry’s best man on this much-anticipated day. Duchess Kate doesn’t have an official role on the day, as she’s recovering from the birth of month-old Prince Louis.

(You can revisit George and Charlotte’s flower girl and page boy skills in the clip below.)
