The royal family have a lovely tradition of sending very sweet thank you cards to anyone who corresponds with them and their son’s arrival provided yet another opportunity to get their snail mail on.

“Especially joyful time”

Following the birth of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan’s little boy Archie just over two months ago, the Sussexes sent out a thank you card to royal fans who had congratulated them on his arrival.

The card featured a sweet photo from the family’s first public engagement – Archie’s world debut!

The card was subsequently shared by the Instagram account @loopycrown3 (who is a dedicated collector of such Royal Mail!) and other royal letter enthusiasts.

“Thank you postcard from TRH the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, thanking me for sending my good wishes on the birth of their son,” loopycrown3 captioned an Instagram photo of the card she received, letting other royal fans in on this latest missive.

The photo chosen for this royal response is one of smiling new dad Harry carrying Archie, with Meghan by their side just a couple of days after the wee boy’s birth.

The message on the back of the card reads as follows:

“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex greatly appreciate you taking the time to write and celebrate the birth of Archie Mountbatten-Windsor.

Their Royal Highnesses have been incredibly touched by all of the warm wishes during this especially joyful time in their lives.

They send their best wishes and heartfelt thanks.”

How blinking nice.

Thank you central

This particular royal enthusiast has an Instagram account pretty much dedicated to the royal correspondence she receives.

There are thank you’s from the Queen’s office, from Prince Philip’s people, from Kate and William … the list goes on and on.

What is clear is that the palace works very hard to acknowledge and respond to all the congratulatory letters, cards and gifts they receive.
