We’re all pretty excited here at Babyology about the fact that for the very first time, our gorgeous baby shower events are travelling north to the Sunshine State.
Yes, we’ve booked a gorgeous venue (Sofitel Brisbane Central); we’ve ordered the fancy cakes and sandwiches (yum); we’ve filled the goodie bags (with $180 worth of fab stuff) and lined up some pretty impressive prizes too (an unbelievable $18 000 worth), so tickets are selling fast!

Our special guest this year is mothercraft nurse and antenatal educator, Chris Minogue. Not only does Chris bring over 30 years experience in supporting and guiding parents through their new role as a parent, but she’s also ready to dispense some pretty practical hands-on advice on the day too. You’ll leave the Baby Shower with lots of helpful advice and hopefully a lot more confidence too.
Sarah Hunstead, Director, CPR Kids
Sarah spent years as a paediatric emergency nurse before founding CPR Kids. She is an author and a passionate advocate for child safety and children’s health and with CPR Kids, she gives parents and caregivers the skills and confidence to recognise and respond to their sick or injured child. In other words, she totally knows her stuff and is primed to answer all your curly health questions.
Midwife + lactation specialist, Mater Hospitals
If you’re a Queensland native, you already know that Mater Hospitals are the bee’s knees when it comes to caring for expectant mothers as well as new mothers and their babies. So it’s excellent news indeed that they have one of their expert lactation specialist midwives on hand at our baby shower to answer your questions.
Shevonne Hunt, host of parenting podcast Feed Play Love
Busy mum of two, Shevonne Hunt will MC our baby shower events. Shevonne is passionate about supporting parents through interviews and events that give them the tools to thrive, not just survive.
