Go home everyone because this kid just won crazy hair day for the rest of time

When genius mama April Castillo stepped up to fashion an insane creation for her daughter’s school Crazy Hair Day, she was not playing around.

Under the sea

April’s daughter is in kindergarten, but she felt it was important to start as she means to go on – as a show-stopping, jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring gosh-darned winner.

Little mermaid hair

A photo of April’s effort- which depicts her daughter Atlantis sporting actual Little Mermaid hair, inspired by the Disney film of the same – instantly went viral, snaffling more than 130 000 retweets and upwards of 700 000 likes.

Her older daughter – named Ariel!!! – posted April’s handiwork to Twitter, so that everyone would know that peak Crazy Hair had indeed been achieved. Forever.

“My sister had crazy hair day at school today and my mom was not playing games and really wanted her to win,” Ariel wrote.

“My mom did the mermaid because my name is Ariel and my sister is Atlantis, which is where Ariel lives under the sea,” Ariel explained on Twitter. “We’ve grown up loving mermaids, thanks to my parents.”

Sis came to slay

“Yes, my sister did win crazy hair day!!” she continued. “She’s only in pre-K  y’all. Just wait for my mom [in] the upcoming years.”

Commenters were super impressed with Atlantis’ hair …

“Sis came to slay,” one declared and she’s not wrong.

“Being a huge mermaid lover this hits me right in the soul. She did an amazing job!” someone else posted and we feel just the same.

“Why did y’all not call this The Little Merbraid?” another commented wondered and gosh she has a point.

“Was my mom the only one who thought crazy hair day was synonymous with messy hair day?” one woman asked. “Looking at this made me realise the true purpose of Crazy Hair Day … when I have kids …”
