Jenna Dewan Tatum talks “scheduling sex” with Channing and second baby plans
Would you schedule in sex with your partner? Mum of one, Jenna Dewan Tatum, is considering it! The 37-year-old actor, dancer and TV host has opened up about her plans for baby number two, her daughter being a vegetarian, and her husband of nine years – hunky actor Channing Tatum.
Cover star mum on raising her daughter to be vegetarian
Appearing on the cover of the latest issue of Health magazine, busy mum Jenna showed off her enviable trim bod while spilling the beans on her personal life, including details about her daughter and marriage to fellow actor, Channing Tatum.
The Supergirl star met her husband of nine years on the set of their 2006 movie Step Up. The couple have one daughter together, four-year-old Everly Elizabeth Maiselle Tatum, who is lovingly nicknamed Evie.
The family of three share a healthy and active lifestyle with Jenna, who is vegan, also revealing her daughter doesn’t eat meat.
“Evie is a vegetarian, mostly because I cook for her and it’s what I feel to be healthy for her and easiest. She loves it and wears it like a badge. She will tell everyone, ‘I’m a vegetarian. I don’t eat meat,'” explains Jenna.
It’s a struggle to get most four-year-olds to eat their vegetables, but luckily for these movie star parents, it seems little Evie is determined and proud of her meat-free, veggie-embracing status.
“And I tell her, ‘Ev, you can try anything you want.’ But she’s like, ‘Ugh’ – very much a chip off the old block in that way.
While her 21 Jump Street hubby still eats meat, he usually goes meatless with his girls and bulks out the dish with carbs.
“Chan will do meatless, and most of the time it’s what I’m cooking. He’ll do pasta, risottos, things that have a carb element,” she added.
Setting a sex schedule
Finding time for romance is difficult for any parent, even without two high-flying careers (although I’m sure it helps if you’re both ridiculously good looking), yet it’s something Jenna told Health she believes is really important for their relationship.
“I’m a very sensual person, same with Chan. It is just how we’re made up, and it’s a big part of how we connect. There’s a real tangible physical connection,” she explained.
Even though she admits they often have “days where we don’t really like each other,” the duo really are #couplegoals and may even start to pencil in time for sex on the calendar – something the World of Dance host reveals a lot of her friends do.
“We have not yet scheduled sex, but we do schedule time together, so maybe that is sort of scheduling sex. We will go away for a weekend to get time, but we have no real regimented schedule.”
Baby number two?
Speaking of bedroom action, last year Jenna hilariously shut down pregnancy rumours by thanking the public for their well wishes on her ‘food baby’ but when Health asked whether there could actually be another tiny Tatum on the cards, Jenna revealed that the couple are “leaving it [up] to the universe” as to whether or not little Evie will get a sibling.
We personally think that another addition would be fantastic for this gorgeous family. Jenna regularly shares funny moments and proud praise for her daughter on social media, and last year the Magic Mike star wrote an open letter of empowerment to his young daughter for Cosmopolitan magazine.
He also showed off Evie’s artistic skills on Instagram this week by posting a snap of her brilliant dreamcatcher that he claims was #madebyatinyfairy. Swoon!

Well, while we wait patiently for the universe to give us a second baby Tatum, we’ll just have to be content with Jenna’s candid family life snapshots for now and watching this talented mum in action on screen and the dance floor.
