Mum captures baby’s growth using pizza, and oh my gosh it’s the cutest!

Oh. My. This might be the cutest thing you see today!

Pizza baby

Photographer mum, Dani Giannandrea, has captured her baby’s monthly growth in a totally unique way – alongside pizza.

Dani simply placed baby Lorenzo, wearing a classic white onesie, in a pizza box. Then she popped some pizza slices next him to indicate his age in months – and it’s epic! And so bloody cute.

Finally ready to unveil Enzo’s monthly photos!! My mom said I had to do something Italian as an ode to his name. What is better than having pizza once a month to take these adorbs photos? This has been a labor of love but I’m so excited with how they turned out!!

A nod to her Italian heritage

Dani says she and her mum came up with the creative idea when they were brainstorming how she could capture Lorenzo’s month-by-month growth in a cute and clever way.

“The pizza theme was inspired by my mum, Lorenzo’s Grammy, saying that I had to do something Italian as an ode to his name,” she tells Romper, adding that Lorenzo’s dad is also of Italian heritage.

The adorable pizza pic has since gone viral.

Dinner once a month SORTED

The photo idea also killed two birds with one stone – cute growth chart pic sorted, plus dinner once a month as Dani and her husband naturally devoured the pizza prop after she had clicked away.

“I had originally just thought about using pizza shaped plates and just doing that in a pizza box every month but then I figured if we were going to do this, we may as well do it right and get dinner out of it once a month. We love our local pizza place, il Forno, in Frederick, so it seemed like a no brainer! Anything to make mummin’ easier.”

A new photo trend?

I don’t know about you, but I’m thinking Dani and Lorenzo may have just started a new baby growth photo trend here. It sure beats the monthly sign or blocks that we usually see.

I think we can expect to see more pizza babies on Insta soon! And I’m so here for it. Cutey, cute, cute!
