Kim and Kanye’s FOURTH child is apparently due in May
Kim and Kanye have made no secret of the fact that they want a big family, with Kanye said to be especially keen to have a whole bunch of kids.
A wee West is on the way
A new year sparked some big news from this high-profile pair, as it’s been revealed that a sibling for their children five-year-old North, three-year-old Saint and almost one-year-old Chicago will arrive pretty gosh-darned soon.
People Magazine confirmed the news earlier today, noting that while Kim had said they weren’t in a huge hurry to add a fourth baby to their gang, things are obviously moving a little faster than envisaged.
Kim has been candid about her experience using gestational carrier and fellow mum La’Reina Haynes for Chicago’s pregnancy.
Her pregnancies with Saint and North were so complication-fraught – she suffered from both preeclampsia and placenta accreta during those pregnancies – that having someone else carry her and Kanye’s baby was the safest path to a third, biological child.
“The surrogate is well into the pregnancy,” media site EOnline is reporting of baby number four. “She is due in May and everything looks good. Kim and Kanye have known for a while and are very excited. They had one male embryo left and are thrilled it has worked out.”
We’re yet to hear from Kim and Kanye on this big news, but that chatter should not be far away.

Too posh to preggo?
This is not a case of Kim being too posh to preggo, either, so don’t think that for a minute.
“My doctor had to stick his entire arm in me and detach the placenta with his hand, scraping it away from my uterus with his fingernails,” Kim told fans via her website.
“My mom was crying; she had never seen anything like this before. My delivery was fairly easy, but then going through that — it was the most painful experience of my life!” #Grim
Thus the amazing La’Reina grew Kim and Kanye’s baby (from the couple’s own embryo) and gave birth to their youngest daughter, Chicago West, on January 15, 2018. La’Reina has two children of her own, and at the time had already acted as gestational carrier for one other bub.
“A game changer”
It’s not clear yet whether it is indeed La’Reina who is carrying Kim and Kanye’s fourth baby, but it seems very likely as they had such a positive experience.
While Kim initially had some problems adjusting to not carrying her own child, calling her situation “frustrating” and “hard” as the pregnancy progressed – and once Chicago was born – she could not speak highly enough of the process.
“This experience, going into it, I really didn’t know what to expect because I don’t really know anyone that’s gone through this,” Kim said in an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians which documented the pregnancy.
“It was definitely not as easy as I thought it would be, emotionally, but it’s so worth it and our surrogate is such a nice person. My family absolutely loves her and I’m just so grateful.”
Instant connection
After initially worrying that she may not bond with her new daughter as quickly, because she had not carried her, Kim discovered the opposite was true.
“I’m so grateful for modern technology and that this is even possible. It’s not for everyone, but I absolutely love my gestational carrier and this was the best experience I’ve ever had,” she wrote on her blog.
“Our gestational carrier gave us the greatest gift one could give. The connection with our baby came instantly and it’s as if she was with us the whole time. Having a gestational carrier was so special for us and she made our dreams of expanding our family come true.”
And speaking of true, here’s almost-birthday girl Chicago with her cousin True over the Christmas break ..!
