Kate Hudson shares first photo of her brand new baby girl
Oh, bless! Kate Hudson and musician partner Danny Fujikawa welcomed their first child together last week, and now the wee gal has made her social media debut.
Triple threat
Kate was already mum to two strapping boys, and baby Rani rounds her headcount up to three.
Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa arrived on Tuesday 2 October and mum and baby are apparently doing great. Kate shared a photo of Rani over the weekend, captioning the image of the little girl (who looks like the prefect mix of her famous mum and dad) – “?Our little rosebud?”
“Everyone is doing well and happy as can be,” Kate said in an update to fans last week. “Our family thanks you for all the love and blessings that have been sent our way and we send ours right back.”
“We have decided to name our daughter Rani (pronounced Ronnie),” Kate continued “after her grandfather, Ron Fujikawa. Ron was the most special man who we all miss dearly. To name her after him is an honor.”

“Crazy excited”
Rani is a little sister for Kate’s sons – fourteen-year-old Ryder with The Black Crowes singer Chris Robinson and seven-year-old Bingham with Muse frontman Matt Bellamy – and the mum-of-three could not be more delighted to add a little girl to the family.
Announcing her pregnancy on Instagram in April, Kate revealed everyone was “crazy excited”.
“We have been trying to keep this pregnancy under the radar for as long as possible but I’m a poppin now! And it’s too darn challenging to hide, and frankly hiding is more exhausting then just coming out with it! My kids, Danny, myself and the entire family are crazy excited! A little girl on the way!”
A tangled web
Danny and Kate have been together for near on two years, but have known each other for more than ten. Danny’s stepsisters are two of Kate’s very best friends.
Danny is the son of Ron Fujikawa and Melissa Linehan. Ron and Melissa separated (or divorced) and on went on to spend the last decade of his life with Rebecca Foster (nee Dyer).
Danny’s stepsisters – Sara and Erin Foster – are the daughters of Rebecca Dyer and music producer David Foster.
Fans of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will remember David from the show. He was married to cast member Yolanda Hadid, making Danny also SORT of related to their model offspring Gigi, Bella and Anwar Hadid.
David was also once married to Linda Thompson. Linda went on to marry Caitlyn Jenner (although she was Bruce Jenner back then) and together they had two kids – Brody and Brandon.
This means that Danny is also kind of related to the Jenners – and the Kardashians – in a roundabout step kind of way.
