Just a couple of hours ago, Kim revealed she and Kanye have named North and Saint’s fresh new baby sister CHICAGO!

Raised in Chicago

Kanye was born in Atlanta, but was raised in Chicago, until he was ten years old. Kim clarified on Twitter that not only have they named their tot after the city Oprah Winfrey made (even more) famous, but they have already chosen a pet name, and it will be CHI.

Fans who thought this rhymed with “WEE” were sadly mistaken. Kim quickly corrected them, with some help from sister Khloe, noting that you pronounce the nickname to rhyme with “SHY” or “PIE” even. And who doesn’t love pie?! Let’s do it – “CHI PIE CHI PIE”. Perfect!

The whole teaching moment played out a little something like this …

The response

We look forward to a hearing the windy city referred to as “SHY-cargo” from now on. There were many, many fan responses to this geographically themed name, unsurprisingly.

 Third time’s a charm

Chi was born on Monday, with the assistance of a gestational carrier. Kim opened up about the experience via her blog explaining a bit more about the process, and revealing us she and husband Kanye connected “instantly” with their baby.

“A traditional surrogate donates her egg, is artificially inseminated with the father’s sperm and then carries the baby to term. Since we implanted my fertilized egg in our gestational carrier, our baby is biologically mine and Kanye’s.”

“Our gestational carrier gave us the greatest gift one could give. The connection with our baby came instantly and it’s as if she was with us the whole time. Having a gestational carrier was so special for us and she made our dreams of expanding our family come true. We are so excited to finally welcome home our baby girl.”

We look forward to meeting this baby soon, and wish her a lifetime devoid of jokes about “wind”.
