It’s back to school for the tiny future king and we have to say we’re kind of jealous of all his delicious lunches!

Fit for a king!

Prince George is commencing Grade One at St Thomas’ Battersea later this week, and Express UK have just spilt the beans on what this popular royal will be chowing down on in between games of tiggy in the rooftop garden.

“On a typical school day, Prince George and his classmates could tuck into a turkey and ham pie served with steamed broccoli and cauliflower and diced potatoes,” they reveal. “For fish lovers, students can enjoy smoked mackerel on a bed of puy lentils, while a chickpea, spinach and sweet potato curry is on offer for vegetarians. Students can also tuck into a bowl of soup with fresh bread or the salad bar available on a daily basis.”

If only our daily lunch menu looked as good!

The wholesome offerings don’t stop there. Desserts apparently include fresh fruit platters, Portuguese egg tarts, oatmeal and raisin cookies, banana milkshakes and fruit smoothies. Mid-morning snack is organic milk or water with some fresh fruit or an oat biscuit.

Honestly? We’re hungry just thinking about it.

It’s clear that the little prince will need plenty of nutritious fodder to fuel his Grade One studies. This year, George will tackle “math, English, science, history, geography and religious studies. He’ll also be taught by specialist teachers in the subjects of French, computing, art/design, technology, music, drama and PE,” People Magazine reports.

Those banana milkshakes and egg tarts will provide plenty of energy for the ballet classes and swimming lessons George is set to begin this year, too.

George’s second first day of school!

Thankfully, this year George will have his mum by his side as he begins a new grade. Duchess Kate was unable to see him into class on his first every day of school last year, as she was bedridden and suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum – a crippling pregnancy-related illness.

Here’s hoping we catch a glimpse of this sweet family on George’s second first day!
