“My punk rock daughter”- Pink’s daughter Willow gets a radical new haircut
Pink and husband Carey Hart are mum and dad to two brilliant kids. Daughter Willow is now eight years old and toddler son Jameson is two.
Strong and fierce
Carey just shared a photo of Willow undergoing a pretty epic style transformation – in the form of an asymmetrical and closely shaved haircut.
Uploading it to Instagram, it’s clear from his caption that he’s super proud of his eldest child and thrilled she feels supported enough to be an individual.
“Loving my punk rock daughter,” Carey posted. “Remember everyone, fly your own flag.
“There is no box to be put in. It’s better to be your own self. Own it, and love it. And if anyone has a problem with it, tell them (politely) to move on. Can’t wait to see the woman you grow up to be. I have a feeling you are gonna be strong, fierce, companionate, and caring. I’m so proud of you, Willow.”
It’s a sweet message from an often prickly gent, with Carey warding off the naysayers pretty openly in his caption. Of course that didn’t keep them away, with some asserting that young Willow was being influenced by her famous mum and dad.
“Got a feeling the kid is flying the parents flag. Sorry bud. Just calls em as I sees ’em,” one such commenter wrote.
But think about that for a second. Kids who are keen to emulate their parents? Kid who obviously respect and adore their mum and dad? Not sure what could possibly be wrong with that … BUD.
Letting her be herself
Thankfully the majority loved Willow’s confident style, especially as it comes in the wake of a quite conservative bob.
“Strong family raising strong kids,” one fan posted.
“She looks so much like momma here! Way to go willow!” another wrote approvingly.
“I love you both for letting her find and be her own self,” one emotional woman commented. “My hair was always ‘dictated’ by my mother and grandmother and I hated it and counted the days until I could make my own choices. She’s a beautiful girl.”
“You are more beautiful than ever”
Carey’s obviously feeling very grateful to have such a lovely family. On the weekend he shared a very emotional and sweet tribute to Pink, in honour of her 40th birthday.
“Welcome to 40 baby,” Carey posted. “I’ve celebrated 18 birthdays with you, and I can say it’s amazing growing up with you. The person you have grown into is inspiring. You have become a successful business woman, superstar, dedicated mother, philanthropist, supportive wife, wine maker, motorcycle mama, and amazing friend to all around you.”
“I’m so proud of the woman you have become, and you are more beautiful than ever. You truly are like wine. You just keep getting better, and I’m so lucky to be along on this crazy ride with you. I love you baby. Looking forward many many more birthdays with you. I can’t wait to see how nuts you and I are in our 80’s.”
