He may be the founder of Facebook but when it comes to family, Mark Zuckerberg’s priorities are lovingly clear.

Concerned about wife Priscilla’s waking through the night worrying about the couple’s two young kids, Mark created a “sleep box.”

Being a mom is hard, and since we've had kids Priscilla has had a hard time sleeping through the night. She'll wake up…

Mark explained the thinking behind his creation:

“Priscilla has had a hard time sleeping through the night. She’ll wake up and check the time on her phone to see if the kids might wake up soon, but then knowing the time stresses her out and she can’t fall back asleep.”

Crafted from what looks like a bit of ply wood, the square-shaped timber box sits on Priscilla’s bedside table. It casts a low, warm light from 6am to 7am so that if Priscilla wakes up during this time she knows that it’s getting close to morning, but that she can still rest if she needs to.

And if she wakes up before 6am, she doesn’t have to look at her phone and start worrying about the time on her phone. It’s also not bright enough to wake her up on its own.

Not surprisingly the genius solution has proven very useful for Priscilla.

“So far this has worked better than I expected and she can now sleep through the night,” writes the Facebook mogul, before adding this beautiful paragraph. “As an engineer, building a device to help my partner sleep better is one of the best ways I can think of to express my love and gratitude.”

What a guy!
