9 brilliant Peppa Pig baking fails that will make you giggle and snort
It seems every child under the sun loves Peppa, her brother George and their endless sea of muddy puddles. But if there’s one thing parents will take away from this children’s phenomenon, it’s that it is extremely hard to nail any baked goods that require a cartoon pig shape.
The expectation is that you’ll make a cake/cookie/cupcake that captures all of Peppa’s seemingly-simple piggy proportions. You’ll master her rosey pink ‘pig’ complexion in your icing. And, most importantly, your creations will be in no way phallic.
The reality, however, is this:

Just in case you can’t tell, the ‘nightmare’ is the one on the left.
Points for effort!
This cake is EPIC – if you’re keen to traumatise your child for life! We still think this parent deserves points for even attempting a 3D cake:

Emma Hawkins, wife of AFL star Tom Hawkins, shared her hilarious Peppa fail on Instagram, and we thank her very much for the laughs:
Peppa, but EXTRA!
This Peppa looks like she’s been fattened up to take to market. Top points for the smooth fondant icing though! *Chef’s kiss*
Pig, schmig
This last one looks like it could pass for a fox/dog/armadillo … pretty much anything other than a pig. Well, at least they tried!
Have a very snouty birthday! #snort
If you’re keen to create a quick and easy birthday cake that you basically can’t fail at, try cutting a slab cake into their birthday number! Much easier than snouts and little piggy ears! Here’s how to turn any slab cake into your kiddo’s birthday number:
