Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree! A forest of Christmas trees is the perfect way to get that festive feeling – and these ones will keep little hands busy too. Make them from plain coloured paper, or from patterned scrapbooking paper for a fancier look – either way, we warn you – they’re a little bit addictive!

What you’ll need

  • 1 x sheet scrapbooking paper
  • hole punch
  • string
  • glue
  • 1 x green popsicle stick
  • star punch
  • 1 x sheet coloured paper

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Taking the scrapbooking paper by its short edge, fold the paper back and forth in 1/2 cm increments for the length of the paper.
  2. Punch a hole through each fold of paper at one end so that all the holes line up.
  3. Double the string over and thread through the holes.
  4. Loop the string through itself and secure with a knot so that the paper becomes a tree shape.
  5. Glue the popsicle stick to the back of the fan to become the trunk of the tree. Allow to dry.
  6. Using the star punch, create a star from the coloured paper and glue to the top of the Christmas tree.
