If there’s one thing that’s true about kids, it’s that they’ll often have hours more fun with the box a new toy comes in, than they do with the toy itself. And if you should happen to find yourself in possession of a big box, such as from a new fridge or TV, then you, my friend, have hit the jackpot for some simple crafty fun!

14. Target range
If your kids are mad for everything Nerf, then they will love this fun target range game made from a cardboard box and a few other simple items from around the house. Simply hang cups at various heights and mark each one with a score – then let the kids have a shoot-out to see who can get the biggest score! This activity would be so much fun at a Nerf-themed party. You could also just use a small ball to throw at the targets – a brilliant hand-eye coordination activity for younger kids!
