1. A high fibre diet may pay baby health dividends, long term
If you’re pregnant then you’d do well to tuck into wholegrain breads, legumes, fruit and veggies because research suggests that a high fibre diet during pregnancy may reduce the risk of coeliac disease in babies.
Of course, a high fibre diet also has the added bonus of reducing constipation and boosting wellbeing in expectant mums as well.
Basically it’s a delicious win-win. Have a sandwich!
