Thai Airways International’s little extras make flying a breeze

THAI understands how daunting flying can be for a family, so they’ve made it as stress-free as possible. They’ve made it so families with young children get priority boarding (giving us a bit more time to settle the kids before the rush of other passengers overwhelms us) and priority seating for families with babies. You can also wheel your stroller right up to the aircraft and it’s safely stowed on-board for the flight.

During the flight, the kids will be treated like rock stars. There’s food made especially for them, toys, games and books on offer, plus every seat has its own touch-screen entertainment. If there ever was a time for non-stop screen time, flying is it!

Entertained and happy

The kids will get lost for hours choosing On Demand kids’ movies, cartoons, TV shows and even gaming. Chances are, you won’t hear from them the entire flight… which leaves time for you to enjoy all the movies and TV shows you like, too.

Speaking of happy, once your family lands in Thailand, Bangkok Airport Authority has arranged for you to go through the priority Immigration channel. This will hopefully mean a much shorter wait time. Is there anything more exhausting than facing a long queue after a flight with kids?

There are seven pools – yes, seven! – with several waterslides, coves and gently sloping pool depths so kids of all ages can venture in. Fun for the minis all day

Kids and parents are also welcome at any of the resort “open house” activities, including playing in Lolly and Bernie’s MiniLand, the resort’s playground and playhouse where discos, creative time, and pizza movie nights all happen. You’ll also be able to catch live entertainment kids’ shows or family shows around the resort.

Of course, all children need some holiday time away from their parents, so Sunwing offers affordable babysitting with trained childcare workers.

The kids will be entertained and cared for while you head out for a massage, take a water aerobics or yoga class, enjoy a solo beach trip, hit the gym, or indulge in a quiet dinner out at one of the resort’s stunning restaurants and bars. Bliss!
