Khloé Kardashian shares why she waited to reveal her pregnancy
The new season’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians is taking us through the why’s and wherefore’s of Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner’s pregnancies, and this week’s ep divulged a little more about Khloé’s fairly belated public reveal that she was expecting.
Keeping up with the babies
If you’re catching up, Khloe gave birth to a baby girl named True on 12 April, her first with partner Tristan Thompson. Kylie welcomed baby Stormi on 1 February. Stormi’s dad is Kylie’s boyfriend, rapper Travis Scott.
While rumours swirled last year that both women were pregnant, the KarJenner camp remained silent for the longest time. Eventually, Khloé spilt the beans, sharing a photo of her bump – which opened the floodgates for a lot more pregnancy details.
Kylie on the other hand never publicly acknowledged her pregnancy. Instead, sharing the baby news shortly after daughter Stormi’s birth. The latest episode spilt a little more tea on how this all played out.
“I am really anxious to announce my pregnancy,” Khloé said in a confessional Keeping Up With The Kardashians piece to camera, “but Kylie’s three months ahead of me. I want to give her her own time to shine and let her do her thing. But Kylie keeps going back and forth on whether she will announce.”
“Waiting is so frustrating because my body is changing and people are super invasive and just not being respectful.”

“You should go ahead”
Later in the piece, Kylie was filmed calling her older sister, to make a plan about sharing their baby news.
“I don’t think I’m ever going to announce that I’m pregnant,” Kylie admitted. “I just don’t want to be in the spotlight, I just want to be low-key. You should go ahead. You don’t have to wait for me, you should announce — it’s exciting for you too.”
So announce Khloé did, in a very widely liked and shared photo of herself being hugged by Tristan while wearing Calvin Klein undies. (It’s clear that the KarJenners have signed what must be a multi-million dollar deal with the label, as they’ve been peppering their social media with Calvin Klein plugs.)
“My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby!” Khloé posted on Instagram late last year.”I had been waiting and wondering but God had a plan all along. He knew what He was doing. I simply had to trust in Him and be patient. I still at times can’t believe that our love created life! Tristan, thank you for loving me the way that you do! Thank you for treating me like a Queen! Thank you for making me feel beautiful at all stages! Tristan, most of all, Thank you for making me a MOMMY!!! You have made this experience even more magical than I could have envisioned! I will never forget how wonderful you’ve been to me during this time! Thank you for making me so happy my love!”
Like a queen?
Of course, we now know that while Tristan was treating Khloé like a queen at home, the story was very different when he was away. A couple of days before baby True was born, media revealed that Tristan had been cheating on Khloé with multiple women. She gave birth to her baby in the midst of coming to terms with this, but the pair have stayed together and have been going to counselling in an effort to do what’s best for them and their baby girl.
