Kylie Jenner almost called Stormi something entirely different
We know that Stormi Webster – Kylie Jenner’s one-year-old daughter – was almost named Stormie until her famous mum dropped the final vowel on her name at the last minute.

“When they called me from the birth certificate office, and I was finalizing the name, they were like, ‘How do you wanna spell it?’” Kylie told her buddy James Charles during a make-up tutorial last year.
“And I was like, ‘S-T-O-R-M-I,’ and they were like, ‘You sure?’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, just an I.’ Literally right then and there I just changed it to an ‘i.’ Then, I hung up the phone and I was like, ‘Damn, guess that’s her name.’”
Kylie spilled further baby name news during an Instagram Live this week, revealing that she’d considered a couple of other names pretty seriously. One, in particular, was on the cards for quite some time, she says.

“Willow was on there”
While Kylie didn’t want to give away all of her baby name favourites, because she might “use those one day”; the mum-of-one was only too pleased to reveal one of the other contenders.
“One name I will tell you guys, because I don’t think I’m ever going to name [another daughter] this, but I wanted to name her Rose.”
Kylie said she just “really liked that name” giving a “shout-out to everyone named Rose!”
Rose was apparently Kylie’s third favourite name when she was pregnant with Stormi. She didn’t spill the beans on her second fave, so perhaps that’s on hold for baby number two.
“It was a very weird name,” Kylie teased, “but I love it. It just didn’t work for her.”
“I was just looking [at] nature names, like weather, like, Earth-inspired,” she explained, “Willow was on there.”

How did they settle on Stormi as their number one choice?
“I really don’t know how we thought of Storm,” Kylie said a couple of months after her baby’s birth.
“Her dad [Travis Scott] insisted it was him, but I feel like it was me. And that kind of just stuck with us. And then I didn’t really like just Storm — I didn’t feel like that was her name. So then it became Stormi. And it just stuck.”
“I feel like there were a lot of other names that I might have even liked better to be honest, but I feel like Stormi picked her own name, like it was just her name,” Kylie explained.
Kylie and Travis welcomed young Stormi without the ‘e’ on February 1 2018, after an uncharacteristically (for a KarJenner, at least) private pregnancy.
