Domestic violence in Australia is something that threatens lives and the fabric of society.

One women every week is murdered by their current or former partner and one in four have experienced emotional abuse by a current or former partner by the age of 15.

And yet we have not seen the kind of action to stem the threat of domestic violence that has flattened the curve of the coronavirus pandemic.

Jess Hill is an investigative journalist and author of the Stella Award-winning See What You Made Me Do. 

After investigating domestic violence for six years, she has plenty of insight into why this remains such an overwhelming problem in Australia.
