Why Big Ted is stepping into the digital age

Play School‘s Big Ted has been teaching toddlers for over fifty years, and things have changed a lot in that time.

Where once Big Ted might have explained how a landline telephone worked, most toddlers these days have never even seen one – let alone needed to know how to use one.

And so, in collaboration with the Office of the eSafety Commissioner, Big Ted has stepped up into the digital age.

Nada Rogic is the lead of the Early Years program at the Office, which is all about educating the under-fives about how to interact with technology.

She explains how Big Ted is laying the groundwork for children to have a safe digital future.
