The alternative to school that’s on the rise

Everywhere around Australia children have started back at school.

They’ll be pulling on shoes, uniforms and backpacks.

But not all children go to their local school.

Many children are being home schooled, and the number choosing this alternative way to educate their kids are on the rise.

Susan Wight is from the not-for-profit Home Education Network.

She explains why parents choose to home school their children, and what it involves.
