Pelvic floor problems are common after childbirth, but not everyone understands where to go for help. Many women reluctantly accept that this kind of damage is just what happens after a vaginal birth. But what are the best ways to approach pelvic floor problems like incontinence? And is the relatively new approach of laser surgery the cure many women have been hoping for?

James Alexander is a Urogynaecology Fellow at Monash Health and the lead author in a study on laser surgery for incontinence. He explains the options for treatment of incontinence post childbirth and whether laser surgery is the solution to pelvic floor challenges.
