Can children really learn empathy through video games?

Empathy is a human emotion that involves connecting with other humans. So can such an intrinsically human experience be taught through computer games?

Researchers at the Department of Human Centred Computing at Monash University think so.

Ling Wu is a Research Fellow who explains why she thinks this is a valid way to teach young children empathy, and how it might help other children with their social cues.
