Gestation (or gest’n)
Gestation is the time between a baby’s conception and their birth.
Gestational diabetes or GDM
Gestational diabetes is a form of diabetes that can occur during pregnancy and usually disappears after a baby is born.
Glucose screen
A glucose screen is a routine test administered during pregnancy. It checks a mum-to-be’s blood glucose level for signs of gestational diabetes.
Gravida, gravidity
This describes the total number of confirmed pregnancies a woman has experienced in her lifetime.
