Kristen Bell’s responds to claims she’s “exploiting other people’s children”

Kristen Bell

Kristen Bell has just come under fire from a judgemental Instagrammer who accused her of exploiting a child in an ad for her new baby care line.

No kids, hey?

Kristen Bell and husband Dax Shepard are parents to two little girls. Lincoln is five and Delta is two.

The couple do their level best to keep their kids away from the media’s prying eyes, even spearheading the #NoKidsPolicy to stop paparazzi publishing photos of celebrities’ children without permission.

This initiative hopes to erase the market for photos of celebs’ kids and was conceived after baby Lincoln was “terrorised” by money-hungry photographers in the weeks after her birth.

“Exploiting other people’s children”

When the couple released their new range of kids’ products – called Hello Bello – with a nappy ad featuring a little girl, someone on Instagram misunderstood the motivation behind their privacy push – and went in on Kristen.

“So your kids deserve privacy but you don’t mind exploiting other people’s children for monetary gain?” the person posted, pointing the finger at Kristen’s apparent hypocrisy.

Kristen was not about to let this go.

Kristen Bell comments

She responded under the comment in no uncertain terms, detailing why things are different for high-profile parents.

“Well, there’s a big difference,” Kristen wrote. “If we expose our kids’ faces, there is a real threat of them getting stalked or of a stranger coming up to them and knowing their name.”

“It’s a safety thing. I don’t fault other parents for showing their kids when they don’t … have the same safety concerns. And Jordan is not the little girl’s real name, FYI.”

Mic. Officially. Dropped.

Oh and if you’re interested in Kristen and Dax’s sure-to-be-lucrative new premium products at non-premium prices baby care line Hello Bello, it’s currently only available to ship to US addresses.
