Kim Kardashian criticised over photo of North: “Don’t take her youth away”
Social media fixture Kim Kardashian loves sharing photos of her adorable kids – North, Saint and Chicago – but the latest pic of North is raising ire (and eyebrows!)
“Cover your child up”
The image shows North, Kim and pals enjoying the last days of the northern hemisphere’s Summer. North happens to be wearing a yellow bikini – and indeed it’s not the first time she’s been snapped in this cute swimsuit.
While lots of Kim’s followers commented on how pretty North looks and how much she’s grown up, plenty of others thought it was not cool to share bikini shots of the five-year-old. Critics were not backward in coming forward with their opinions and outrage.
“Don’t take her youth away Kim. She is too young for a bikini,” one wrote.
“She is a child and it’s sad that there’s sick people out but I’m sorry cover your child up,” another posted.

“I love you Kim with my whole heart,” one fan pleaded, “but posting pictures like this of your daughter isn’t the smartest idea. there is A LOT of weirdos out there and who knows what they’ll do with this.”
“She’s too young to wear something like that. Let her be a child kim!! You are an awful influence on her already with the crap you post,” another wrote brutally.
Countless other commenters decided Kim and photoshopped North’s lips to look bigger (which seems kind of nuts/possible/hard to believe.)
“Other peoples’ morals”
While lots were concerned for North’s modesty, lots of followers flat-out disagreed with the kid bikini ban, noting that they’d grown up wearing two-pieces and that their children do the same.
“I wore a bikini when i was a kid. Companies wouldn’t make them if it was a big deal. Just because you wouldn’t let your child wear one or you weren’t allowed, doesn’t mean Kim is a bad mother. It’s a swimsuit,” one mum wrote.
“It’s ok to wear a bikini. It’s all good. Children shouldn’t have to worry about other peoples’ morals. Keep up the wonderful work beautiful mom,” someone else posted.
“You’re a good mama posting a simple pic of your lil love. Nothing wrong with that,” another said.
