Amy Schumer’s baby just watched his first ever movie
Actor Amy Schumer and her husband Chris Fischer are navigating isolation in their usual inspiring style, sharing glimpses of their life with 11-month-old son Gene and confirming they’re the most good-humoured parents EVER.
Watch and learn
Overnight Amy uploaded a video of Gene taking in his very first feature film. The wee boy is clearly transfixed by what he sees. Dummy is firmly planted in mouth as Gene snuggles up to his dad for this inaugural movie session.
So what flick did the pair choose for this important first? They chose Fantastic Mr Fox!
The animated Wes Anderson rendering of Roald Dahl’s classic appears to have young Gene falling for this extended form of storytelling hook, line and sinker.
“First movie” Amy captioned the vision and her friends and fans were as captivated as Gene.
“That hand on his Daddy’s face is the cutest!!” one follower posted.
“I love the nose hold,” another agreed.
“I can’t tell who’s more interested,” someone else wrote and they’re not wrong.
Top toddler chef!
This was not the only cute snapshot the pair shared of their life during this pandemic. Amy also uploaded a photo of Gene inexplicably dressed as a baby chef … and it’s the kind of confusing content that we need much, much more of.
“11 months and sneaky as hell,” Amy captioned that pic and her followers (including Bravo head honcho, Andy Cohen) immediately declared Gene Top Chef.
Our favourite new parents
It’s such a delight to see Amy and Chris’ parenting style. It’s chipper and very, very down to earth, even when the couple are under pressure.
They’re keen to give Gene a sibling sooner rather than later and have been going through IVF treatment – and sharing those relatable struggles – in their quest to grow their family.
Truth be told, we can’t wait to get even more baby Fischer content in our feed!
