8 spookily inspiring and fun ideas for your family’s Halloween party

Posted in Halloween.

We’re just a few weeks away from Halloween, so what better time to start planning a party than now? We’ve scoured Instagram and come up with a whole bunch of cute ideas that will work for families with small kiddos (and grown-up kiddos too!).

1. Party invites

How cute is this bat invitation?! We’re a sucker for simple yet clever design and this guy battily nails just that. Definitely something you could whip up at home and definitely something that will get little party guests excited.

2. Streamer backdrop and vampire bat balloons

This backdrop looks totally beautiful, doesn’t it? It’s especially fun for tinier kids who might find some of Halloween’s themes a bit too scary. Let’s face it, these vampire bat balloons look positively friendly!

3. Sprinkle and google-y eye cake

If the idea of a fun and family-friendly Halloween cake has you stumped, this easy neon-sprinkled confection might just be the answer! It’s bright and fun, with just the right amount of spooky.

4. Monster cookies

Part snack, part activity, these monster cookies taste good, look good and keep little monsters busy. It’s a win-win!

5. Spooky table

Head to your local party supply store or shop online to snap up some spookily themed tableware. This pastel palette is gorgeous, right? Just add spiders! And bats. And also body parts, if you fancy that!

6. Cute decorations

These vintage-inspired honeycomb decorations have us itching to throw our own Halloween bash. And how adorable are those Halloween cats?! Find similar here.

7. Monster ice-creams

Another monster idea, this time with yummy ice-cream. This idea is a simple one to replicate with store-bought ice-cream if you’re not up to making your own like this Instagram genius.

Is there anything more purely magical than dressing up and playing pretend as a kid? ✨ Halloween is by far Kai’s favorite holiday and we never really stop celebrating it all year long! Let’s be real, who else’s kid wants to bring out the pterodactyl in the middle of August? 🙋🏻‍♀️That’s why we are a @potterybarnkids Halloween family! It’s not for just the most transformative night of the year, but truly, for so much more! My heart is SOOO full watching these kiddo’s imagination soar and their personalities magnify with a simple change of the most magical outfit. Seriously, I dare you to not smile when you see the video of our baby deer 🦌 🥰 What does your kiddo want to be this year??? A huuuge thank you for all the creative team that came together for this magical concept. #lovemypbk #ad #halloween2019 #kidshalloween Photography @arzuvargasphotography Backdrop: @glamfettico Styling: @joyfullygreen Coordination: @gemeventstx Dessert: @winkbyerica Flowers: @jackietrejoevents Tablescape: @picnicsinthecity Dessert cart: @bashkidsevents Location: @thecreativechateautx Balloon inspiration by @butfirstparty @bonjourfete
