Jools Oliver Little Bird backpack

“Not just a nappy bag”

If you’re new to the Jools fashion game, you should know that Mrs Oliver teamed up with esteemed children’s brand Mothercare back in 2012, launching her very own label called Little Bird under the company’s cute-stuff-for-kiddos umbrella.

Jools’ range is a colourful, vintage-inspired rainbow-hero-ing delight and it’s proven super popular with modern mums. This latest release, is a personal favourite with the famous mum-of-five. Basically she created the nappy bag she wished she had, and it’s fair to say she – and lots of other mums – are head over heels with the results.

Everything but the kitchen sink

“Super proud of this little number we designed,” Jools says. “Our Little Bird change bag!”

“Having road-tested pretty much every change bag there is over the years, am really pleased with this one. Not just a nappy bag though, have been using mine as my bag and it fits everything plus River’s bits too.”

“Best part it’s a rucksack as well leaving me hands free which is vital!!! Available at Mothercare now.”

As you can see, Jools is right. It’s NOT just a nappy bag. Tucked inside are lots of other helpful extras, and it features some snazzy rainbow straps that helpfully switcheroo, PLUS:

  • Grab handles PLUS shoulder straps that convert the bag to a backpack
  • A removable insulated bottle holder, to keep bottles warm or cool
  • A removable padded, wipe-clean changing mat
  • Two removable drawstring bags, to stow clean and dirty clothing in
  • Lots of interior and exterior pockets
  • A removable parent purse to stow phone, keys and other essentials in

Jools’ amazing backpack retails for just over $100.

Trying for six?

Jools and Jamie are now mum and dad to five lovely children. Poppy Honey Rosie (born in 2002), Daisy Boo Pamela (born in 2003), Petal Blossom Rainbow (born in 2009), Buddy Bear Maurice (born in 2010) and River Rocket (born in 2016).

When asked if they’d be “going again” Jamie recently revealed it was not really on the cards, and would require some adjustments.

“I think at 42 you’re pushing your luck. I haven’t got any more room in the car, so we’d have to buy a bus. But Jools would love me to say ‘never say never.’ She’d tell me not to rule it out.”
