“Any remedies?” Pregnant Jessica Simpson asks her followers for help!
A very pregnant Jessica Simpson has sent a distress signal to her Instagram followers and of course, they’ve come to her aid with some very practical advice.
Ouch!
Jessica, who is already mum to five-year-old Ace and six-year-old Maxwell, shared a photo of a very swollen-looking foot, saying: “Any remedies?! Help!!!!”
Practical advice
Responding to her picture, the comments from followers came in droves. Many offered their sympathies, while others offered up some tried and tested tips.
“Keep them up & put a really hot towel over them until the towel gets cool & repeat,” one person wrote.
“When I was pregnant and my feet swelled like that, I soaked them in a cup of pure Epsom and dead sea mineral salt. 10 drops of chamomile and lavender helped alleviated the pressure! Rest after with feet propped on a pillow,” another shared.
Another added: “Yikes momma! Keep those feet elevated. Compression socks should help too.”
Pre-eclampsia?
Others expressed their concern that the swelling could be a sign of pre-eclampsia.
“Have you been to the doctors? Are you sure it’s not a sign of preeclampsia?” a fan quizzed.
While fluid retention and swelling, known as edema, is a normal part of pregnancy, swelling of the hands, feet and face during pregnancy can be an indicator of pre-eclampsia, a common but serious medical disorder that only occurs in pregnant women.

This too shall pass (hopefully really, really soon)
That said, many shared their own experience of swelling during pregnancy, saying that it went away soon after giving birth. However, after taking the size of Jess’ foot and rumours that she isn’t due to give birth until April into consideration, we aren’t really sure how comforting this news is.
“Oh, Jessica! I know how uncomfortable that feels. Lay down and elevate your feet as much as you can. With both my kids, I didn’t see the bones in my feet until two weeks after I delivered,” one mum shared.
“Sister! Warm lemon water….leg elevation and ‘air cycling’ while elevated periodically! Very helpful…..AND remember that this too shall pass! ❤️”
Baby number 3
Jessica announced her pregnancy in September last year, revealing she and husband Eric are expecting a girl.
“Surprise! This little baby girl will make us a family of five,” she posted. “We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”
Congrats to this growing family and we hope Jess feels better really, really soon!
