This recipe creates Christmas trees which are almost too cute to eat! Choose different sized plates to trace around to create different sized trees and decorate as you please – too easy!

Rice Bubbles Christmas Tree ingredients
- 200g white chocolate melts (plus an extra two tablespoons of melts to melt later for ‘glue’)
- 200g Kellogg’s Rice Bubbles breakfast cereal
- green gel food colouring
- baking paper and tape
- to decorate: assorted sprinkles, mini M&Ms, Reece’s Mini Peanut Butter Cups, a teaspoon of icing sugar
- On sheets of baking paper, trace around plates to create different sized circles. Cut out the circle and cut in half. Create a cone shape from each semicircle and tape into position. Set aside.
- Put the chocolate into a large microwave safe bowl. Using the microwave, heat in bursts of 20 seconds, stirring between each burst until melted completely.
- Add a few drops of green gel colouring to the chocolate and stir well.
- Add the Rice Bubbles to the chocolate and mix together until all the Rice Bubbles are coloured green.
- Fill each cone with the Rice Bubbles mixture, pressing the top to level. Use coffee cups to hold the filled cones and refrigerate until set.
- Once set, unwrap from the paper and use a serrated knife (like a lumberjack!) to level the bases if required.
- Melt and colour the reserved couple of tablespoons of chocolate Melts to create your decoration ‘glue’. If using star sprinkles (available at Coles), stick those on top first and give them around 10 minutes to set.
- Use the chocolate glue to stick on sprinkles and decorations – I’ve used Mini M&Ms to replicate coloured lights. Glue an unwrapped Mini Peanut Butter Cup to create a tree trunk. Put back in the fridge to set completely.
- Just before putting them out on the table to be devoured, dust them with icing sugar to give the illusion of a dusting of snow, and then you’re done! Dreaming of a white Christmas, anyone?!
