If you’re a little challenged in the baking department, it’s hard to teach your children to whip up a cake with success. Or perhaps the kids are just keen to have some fun getting messy in the kitchen but you don’t want to buy one of everything in the supermarket baking aisle. Whatever the situation – including birthday parties – it’s all too easy to let them work their learning magic in Ghermez Cupcakes’ kitchen.
Sydney’s Ghermez Cupcakes run awesome Junior Pastry Chef Academy workshops for kids where they can bake, create and decorate to their hearts’ content. There are three workshops available – each runs for ninety minutes, which is not too long to hold a child’s attention span, but enough time to create some amazing take home treats.
The six-to-ten-year-old brigade can partake in a Cupcake and Cookie Essentials workshop ($49 a session), making yummy cupcakes and cookies and learning fondant techniques, among other decorating tricks. The Cake Pop and Cupcake Decorating workshop ($49 a session) will see the kids able to fill you in on how to create cake pops using delicious Belgian chocolate, which would frankly be priceless information. Older children aged nine to twelve can indulge their sweet tooth with the Advanced Chocolate Bar and Truffle workshop ($59 a session).
Ghermez Cupcakes also know how to create magic in the kitchen with a child’s birthday party. For $69 per person, you have the venue, the food (a delicious buffet brunch), the birthday cake, the entertainment and the take home gift all sorted. Children will spend two and a half hours celebrating while enjoying a fabulous workshop of baking and decorating cupcakes and cookies!
Each child who participates in a workshop takes home a Certificate of Completion and recipe cards. Ghermez Cupcakes will be running their Junior Pastry Chef Academy workshops from 17 – 31 May, 2014. For booking dates and further workshop details, be sure to hop on over to Ghermez Cupcakes.
