Some very high-profile types have spoken out about enduring miscarriage, in the hopes that it might help others work through their own losses – and realise that this experience does not discriminate.

Mariah and ex-husband Nick Cannon lost their first child to miscarriage - it was an incredibly difficult time.

"It kind of shook us both and took us into a place that was really dark and difficult,” Mariah recalls. “When that happened ... I wasn’t able to even talk to anybody about it. That was not easy.”
