In the very definition of closed ranks, Kendall Jenner has interviewed her just-turned-21-year-old sister Kylie for Vogue Australia, doing away with pesky journalists altogether – but perhaps getting a more intimate view of how it is to Kylie.

Mum’s the word

You may know that Kylie kept her pregnancy 100 percent on the down-low, revealing her baby bump only once her daughter Stormi was born.

Stormi’s dad is rapper Travis Scott (who’s released a baby and a brand new album, Astroworld, this year) and the mysterious nature of this pregnancy has had people scratching their heads.

At the time of Stormi’s birth, an emotional Kylie shared some of the reasons in a carefully prepared Instagram update.

“I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions,” she posted. “I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world.”

“I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free and healthy way I knew how. There was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal I had planned. I knew my baby would feel every stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness.”

“A sacred, special moment”

Now, she’s gone into a titch more detail, with a little sisterly prodding from sibling Kendall.

“One of my favourite things you did during your pregnancy was that you stayed really low-key during your pregnancy,” Kendall said. “I think that it was kind of beautiful. What were you thinking when you did that and what was your whole process behind that?”

“I knew that it would be better for us, if me and Stormi just stayed kind of low-key,” Kylie explained. “Your hormones are going crazy and your emotions are more heightened, and I just felt like I wasn’t prepared to.”

“I just knew that it would be better for me, and I could enjoy the whole experience if I did it privately. I just felt like it was a sacred special moment and I wasn’t ready to share it with everybody. I just wanted to keep that to myself.”

So now you know. Makes complete sense to us!
