The Project’s Carrie Bickmore is expecting her third child – her second with partner Chris Walker – and after expertly concealing her belly for months she’s letting the bump run free!

Carrie and family shared a really funny and candid pregnancy announcement last week, with Carrie, Chris and ten-year-old Ollie spilling the beans to a still oblivious three-year-old Evie.

“Guess what Evie? Mummy’s having a baby,” Carrie told her daughter. “There’s a baby in mummy’s tummy!”

“Is it a girl or a boy? … Have you got twins?!” Evie exclaimed.

We now know that Carrie’s not having twins (or at least, she hasn’t let on if she is!) and that she’s not keen to find out whether she’s having a son or daughter this time around, either.

What she has revealed is her baby bump, which we can now see is well on the way to growing a brand new human.

Yesterday, Carrie helpfully pointed out her bump from behind The Project desk, with some moral support from equally pointy co-panellist (and mum-of-one) Fifi Box.

Wait, what?

When quizzed by her co-stars about how she’s managed to keep mum about her news, Carrie said it all came down to mechanics.

“Haven’t you noticed?” she asked The Project co-panellist Hamish McDonald.

“I’ve been slowly lowering my chair and sitting like this,” she responded lowering her seat to conceal her belly. “It was getting to the point where I was just going to be like ‘Hi!’ she laughed, lowering herself so just her head was peering above the desk.

Now that the bump is free, followers are very excited to talk about – and share some quite unconvincing theories.

“How did you hide that bump for such a long time?! You look beautiful,” one wrote.

“Wow so far along already,” another echoed.

“I think it’s a girl,” someone posted decisively.

“Glowing and beaming Carrie, so it’s going to be a boy for sure,” another wrote.

Carrie Sickmore

It’s not been plain sailing for this soon to be mum-of-three. She’s been suffering crippling morning sickness and after announcing that she was over the worst of it, her body decided it had other ideas.

“I thought it would have passed by now,” she posted on Instagram, “but it’s not going away. Why the hell is it called ‘morning sickness’ when it can be 24/7?! Relentless. If I am hungry, I feel sick. If I eat, I feel sick. If I sleep, I feel sick.”

She revealed chips are the only thing that’s going down and staying down, a cure-all that other mums confirmed was their pregnancy saving grace too.

Here’s hoping Carrie’s feeling much, much better super soon (and here’s hoping that this baby will be arriving sooner than we’d imagined, if this well-established bump is anything to go by!)
