6 things desperate mums can do to try to kickstart labour
Are you still carrying around your too-comfy bub in your refusing-to-contract uterus? Well, if you’ve given all the labour-sparking foods a shot and find yourself STILL staring down at your overdue baby bump, it might be time to try some of these non-foody ways to kickstart your labour.
1. Get those walking shoes on
Get moving, mama! Sure, lifting yourself up off the couch is the last thing you feel like doing but going for regular walks around the block could actually help bring this baby into the world sooner. The action is thought to encourage bub to move down onto your cervix and oxytocin (the hormone that triggers contractions) is released as your baby’s head repeatedly bumps your cervix as you walk.
