Sam was only 12 years-old when he was diagnosed with Leukaemia. He lived with his family in Griffith, a seven hour drive to the hospital in Randwick where he would be receiving treatment. Kylie and Craig Burley, Sam’s parents, would tag team for the next 202 days while their son underwent lifesaving treatment. They both say that the support they got from Ronald McDonald House helped them pull through a very difficult time.

Now, Ronald McDonald House is raising awareness with their Paws for Sick Kids campaign, where you can enter your pet into various competitions. The images will be used to help bring cheer to children who are in hospital, and you can raise funds along the way.
