Why dads need a defined role when newborns arrive

When you’re pregnant, you tend to have a good sense of what will be required of you after the baby is born, particularly if you decide to breastfeed. Having brought a small being into the world, the role of being a mother has been clearly defined. But what about new dads or the other parent in the equation? What is their role in your new family life?

Dianne Zalitis is the Clinical Lead at Pregnancy, Birth and BabyShe says that both parents have a big role to play. She offers some practical tips on how dads and non-birth partners can get involved.
