Why Aussie women need greater pelvic support after birth

When it comes to vaginal birth, you can’t get a more important set of muscles than the sling that makes up your pelvic floor. But it’s also one of the most overlooked part of a mother’s health in her postnatal check ups.

Amy Dawes from the Australasian Birth Trauma Association wants this to change.

She’s set up a petition through change.org to ensure that every woman gets the pelvic floor support they need – both pre- and post-birth.
