For the last ten years people have been asking Turia Pitt how to be happy. She suspects this might really be a question about how she has managed to be happy. In 2011 she was competing in an ultra-marathon and was trapped by an out-of-control grass fire. That fire resulted in burns to 65 percent of her body and fears that she would not recover from her injuries. People wanted to know how Turia continued to be happy after facing so much physical and emotional pain. The result is Happy, and other ridiculous aspirations.
Turia talks about the surprising things she’s learnt writing the book, and the little things that help her turn her day around.
