It could be argued that socialising and learning to get along with others are life-long lessons.

But children have to start somewhere.

Shona Innes is a clinical psychologist and children’s book author.

She’s taken her experiences with children in her clinic and translated them into picture books.

She explains how her book, Friendship is like a seesaw, explores the give and take nature of friendship, and why we don’t need to be too involved in what goes on in the playground.
