Discipline can mean different things to different people.

To that cranky man in the supermarket, it’s a short cuff around the ear. To your partner it might be ‘time out’ or a stern talking to.

But psychologist Vanessa Lapointe says that discipline is not about punishment, and that it’s possible to apply the principles of discipline without yelling at or hurting our kids.

Vanessa has written a book called Discipline without Damage.

She takes us through her philosophy and how it works.
