Healing Lives: A book about an unlikely friendship that changed the world

When it comes to a life well lived you can’t get much more impressive than Dr Catherine Hamlin. Catherine spent her life treating obstetric fistulas in Ethiopia, and in doing so both improved and saved countless lives.

Now author Sue Williams is telling the story of an incredible friendship Catherine shared with a former patient, Mamitu Gashe. Sue’s book is called Healing Lives, and in this interview she talks about the obstacles both women overcame to make a huge impact on the lives of women in Ethopia.
