WATCH! Meghan and Harry’s super-cute video for Archie’s first birthday

Hip hip hooray! A little royal milestone slipped quietly by yesterday – little Archie has turned one (already, can you even believe it?)!

Meghan and Harry celebrated the day in a very wholesome way – sharing a rare glimpse of Archie in a gorgeous video on Instagram. Filmed by doting dad, Harry, little Archie sits snuggled in his mum’s lap to listen to her read Duck! Rabbit!, a gorgeous picture book by popular children’s author, Amy Krouse Rosenthal.

Story time with Archie

We haven’t seen much of Archie since his parents’ royal tour of southern Africa last year, so it’s lovely to catch a glimpse after all this time – he sure is growing fast, and he’s looking more and more like his dad every day. Don’t believe us? Check this out:

As Meghan reads the story, we learn that her pet name for her little boy is “Arch”, and that he is as distracted and wriggly as every other one-year-old in the world as he grabs at the pages and attempts to pass his mum another book before she’s finished reading the first one – we’ve all been there, right? To her credit, Megs was extremely patient with her grabby little guy!

The video was shared on the Save With Stories Instagram page – the campaign is an initiative run by Save The Children UK, asking celebrities to narrate children’s stories to raise funds for children and families struggling in the coronavirus pandemic. Lots of celebs have jumped on the cause, with fun story book videos shared by Jimmy Fallon, Liv Tyler, Kate Winslet, Henry Winkler and lots more. It’s definitely worth a scroll through their page to watch your fave celebs reading your fave kids’ books!

The special birthday milestone didn’t go by unnoticed by his royal family members, either, with the official Kensington Royal Instagram page sharing a classic pic from Archie’s christening and a happy birthday shoutout to the little guy.
