Khloé Kardashian faces criticism after posting controversial photo of baby True
Khloé Kardashian can’t catch a break. She’s in the midst of recovering from what appears to be a very final break-up from her baby daddy Tristan Thompson, but even that hasn’t kept the online critics at bay.
“Growing up so fast”
Earlier this week Khloé posted a throwback photo of her almost one-year-old daughter True sitting in her closet surrounded by very expensive handbags.
“About 4 months ago,” Khloé captioned the shot. “My girl is growing up so fast.”
No less than 14 handbags were dwarfing the adorable toddler, most of them very expensive Birkin bags which retail from around $15,000 a pop.
While baby True’s cute grin was the hero of the photo in our books, for many others it was the pricey purses that were the focus.

“Teaching her to be materialistic”
People were very angry about Khloé’s show of wealth – and even felt that it constituted bad parenting.
“I love you but you’re kind of teaching her to be materialistic,” one commenter posted. “No one, no matter who you are, needs that many handbags.”
“Do rich kids play with expensive purses instead of toys?” another person quipped.
“Disappointed to see that you and your sisters still seem oblivious to shoving your wealth and privileges in everyone’s face all the time,” a follower commented. “These are sensitive times Khloé and some of us just don’t need to constantly see this, even if we’re interested in seeing you!”
Some felt the flouting of these handbags offset any compassion fans might have for Khloé’s relationship crisis.
“I actually felt sympathy for her ’til this,” one follower wrote. “This chick is all about her image, the world gives us what we deserve.”
“Munchkin!”
But not everybody was down on Khloé. Lots of people just wanted to talk about how cute True is. #Truth
“She is such a happy baby,” one fan posted “Munchkin so adorable!”
“First off you don’t owe anyone anything,” another supporter wrote. “Nor do you need to justify this photo! That baby is adorable!”
“And the best bit is; beautiful baby True knows nothing of material wealth,” someone else pointed out. “Only love from her Mama.”
