Of course you do! Those fictional girls changed our lives in a big way when we were sensitive little pre-teens. And now that our own daughters are growing up and looking for stories, the best thing we can do is hand them some of our old dog-eared books and hope that they love them as much as we did. Book nerds, you know who you are, put your hand up if you read ALL 56 of the classic Nancy Drew books ... knew it. We were all obsessed. And how amazing was Nancy? She was so immaculately dressed in her 1950s way, but so gutsy and fearless. There have been lots of middle grade detectives since her, but nothing beats the original.
